CRYSTAL Peaks Shopping Mall says it has enjoyed a recession beating Easter.

Footfall at the Sheffield shopping centre increased by 20 per cent compared with the same period last year, during the first week of the Easter holiday, and was up by 17 per cent in the second week.

Centre manager Lee Greenwood said: “We are delighted that are visitor figures are continuing to grow in this way.

“We do feel our Easter success was largely due to the great selection of family events we had arranged for the holiday period, including a petting zoo, Easter Egg hunt and craft workshops.”
