Doncaster’s award-winning markets are to open seven days a week from Thursday until Christmas Eve.
The markets are open 9am to 4pm on weekdays, 9am to 4.30pm on Saturdays and 10am to 4pm on Sundays.
The markets will have a wide selection of festive fun for families including Santa’s grotto, rides and face painting.
Ros Jones, Mayor of Doncaster, said: “I have introduced free council car parking spaces in Doncaster for every day in December to support traders.
“Doncaster Markets have everything you need for Christmas - from cards and gifts, to turkeys, fruit, veg and seafood.
“I am encouraging shoppers to buy local this December and take advantage of our fantastic market, Frenchgate Centre and high street shops.”
Doncaster Council will be making their Chappell Drive and Marshgate car parks free of charge for up to three hours for the whole month of December.
All of the council’s town centre parking will be free from 3pm on Christmas Eve until 8am on Monday 29 December. All Council car parks on pay and display bays will also be free from 5pm on late night shopping days during December.
