A FORMER non-tea-drinking Royal Mail manager, who transformed herself into a specialist importer has just had a branding makeover designed to establish her products in the high end gift market.
Ann Davis worked with experts at Design Futures to develop a more professional brand identity and bespoke packaging for her Flowering Tea Bloom product range and gift sets.
It is the latest step on an expected adventure for the former human resources manager from Doncaster, which started when she was given a gift from husband Paul – a traditional Yixing ‘purple sand’ teapot.
It attracted lots of attention from her friends and the more she learned about teapots the more she was approached by people wanting to know where they could get one.
But it was while recovering from breast cancer that she decided setting up in business would give her the work-life balance she was looking for.
Ann’s transformation from abstainer to expert saw her train with international tea masters in London. And The Tea Experience soon burgeoned from just chinaware to importing loose tea from the Far East and Europe.
Ann said: “The team at Design Futures really understood our brief and provided workable designs and solutions for our Flowering Tea Bloom range and gift set and for future roll out across our product offer.
“As a young company, access to regional funding to support our growth and development plans is invaluable.”
