Major Sheffield events including Tramlines, the Food and Drink Festival and the Cycling Grand Prix have helped to make it a memorable first year for city hire company Totally Gazeboed.
The firm started up after founder Fraser Charlesworth spotted a gap in the market when he bought a gazebo for his brother’s café at Endcliffe Park.
It wasn’t long before the café’s customers started asking if they could hire the gazebo for their events.
Fraser launched his new venture with support from Barnsley tent manufacturer Gala Tent and is now one of its approved partners.
“I knew I’d hit on a good business idea. People liked the quality of my gazebos as I’d spent a lot of time researching the best quality products,” said Fraser.
“I now have several gazebos in different colours.
“The orange and black ones often fit in well with the corporate colour themes for businesses and are particularly great for Halloween.
“The white ones are always popular for garden parties and wedding events.”
Fraser has supplied gazebos for commercial events, garden parties, celebrations at people’s homes, school events, the emergency services and pubs.
“I enjoy setting up for an event, the buzz that is going on, and the anticipation of a great day ahead.
“I get a lot of satisfaction from knowing that I’ve helped a little in making the day a success for the people hiring from me,” said Fraser.
Gala Tent is the UK’s largest designer and manufacturers of gazebos, marquees and pop up awnings and has helped dozens of hire businesses to set up throughout the country.
Managing director and founder Jason Mace, said: “It’s great to hear that Totally Gazeboed is doing so well. We are looking for more Gala Tent hire companies across South Yorkshire.”
