A professional development programme for legal staff working for Sheffield-based national law firm Irwin Mitchell has won a second major award.

The IMU Law and Business School programme is the first developed by a law firm in partnership with the University of Law – the largest legal training establishment in Europe – and The Chartered Legal Institute of Legal Executives. The programme, which was launched in 2011, won the Development of Talent prize at this year’s Halsbury Legal Awards, having previously secured the Education and Training Initiative of the Year Award at the British Legal Awards.

Catherine Kenwright, head of learning and knowledge management at Irwin Mitchell, said: “We are delighted to see our partnership with the University of Law and CILEx recognised at a prestigious industry event.”
