Law firm Wosskow Brown is opening new offices in Sheffield and London and aiming to boost its £3.5 million turnover by 15 per cent after securing funding worth £2 million from HSBC.
News of the expansion comes days after the company announced it was prepared to help new businesses by offering them free advice and office space in its headquarters in the John Banner Building in Attercliffe.
Wosskow Brown says that after moving to HSBC and securing the finance it will open new offices in Abbeydale Road, Sheffield, and Harrow, North London, before the end of the first quarter. The company, which currently employs 70 people at its offices in Attercliffe and on Gleadless Road, says it is creating five new jobs and hopes to attract customers with open ‘shop style’ offices that are designed to encourage them to walk in.
HSBC deputy area commercial director for South Yorkshire Mark Tompkinson said: “Wosskow Brown has taken a forward-thinking approach by investing in the business to achieve future growth.
“We are looking forward to supporting the business as it expands its operations.”
