Each category winner will also be given a chance to be crowned the overall 2019 Launchpad Champion, with a live audience vote at the ceremony.
It will give them a chance to follow in the footsteps of last year’s top winner, Andrew Ashworth, founder of Conisborough-based IGO Pets.
Since winning the overall title at the Launchpad Awards 2018, Andrew’s business has gone from strength-to-strength.
He went on to win a highly coveted regional and national entrepreneurship award.
At the same time, he used his business skills to support others taking the first step on their business journey.

Launchpad programme manager Anna Smith said: “The Launchpad Awards are a celebration of entrepreneurship in the Sheffield City Region.
“From entrepreneurs who are taking the very steps on their business journey to growing businesses who have enjoyed success over the past three years, there are plenty of different opportunities to get involved with this year’s event.
“Since the ERDF-funded programme began in 2016 it has helped more than 5,000 would-be entrepreneurs take the first steps on their business journey.
“The Launchpad Awards recognise the genuinely unique and innovative businesses which are driven by a passion to do things differently.”
The Launchpad Awards also offer established businesses the chance to get involved.
This year’s sponsors include headline sponsor Hallam FM as well as Finance For Enterprise and the Federation of Small Businesses.
There are limited sponsorship opportunities currently available.

The closing date for applications is Friday, July 19, with the awards ceremony taking place on Friday, September 27 at 92 Burton Road, Sheffield. It will be far removed from the usual black tie event in a characterful warehouse which bears the marks and impressions of Sheffield’s great industrial heritage.
