The firm behind Little Kelham has submitted its latest plans for the area.
Citu, which is developing the 1.5 hectare residential and commercial site, wants to convert the former Green Lane Works in Kelham Island into 21 homes.
According to the plans the homes will be created in the existing building, which will be completely refurbished.
The plans say: “Any new interventions are deliberately kept simple and repetitive in style to be in keeping with the aesthetic qualities of the conservation area.”
Among the proposed changes are new double glazed windows, ground floor entrances, a double-height communal entrance and solar panels.
The homes will be interlocking, according to the plans, allowed them to be duplex but still have views from both front and back.
Little Kelham is a mix of residential, commercial and retail.
