Project Yorkshire: A Playground Like No Other, their new short film narrated by home grown Hollywood superstar Sean Bean, had its world premiere with a VIP cinema screening at Everyman Leeds on Yorkshire Day – WATCH THE FILM HERE.

But that was just for starters.

The film - which has already gone viral with around 100,000 video views in the first 24 hours - will be followed with the online launch of around 10,000 digital assets including stock video footage, photos and artwork to help market God's Own Country on their website at www.projectyorkshire.co.uk.

Project Yorkshire then includes a huge campaign to promote the film, the assets and the wider economy,

With a #shareitforyorkshire hashtag the battle cry aims to sell the county as the greatest place on the planet to live, study, work, invest and do business.

They hope to encourage post-pandemic investment in Yorkshire and further boost the county's already whopping £110 billion economy.

The film highlights the county as the home of digital technology pioneers, advanced manufacturing, healthcare innovation and engineering, with the largest banking, legal and professional services hub outside London.

It also champions Yorkshire's world-class food and farming sector.

The 37-year-old film-makers, who earned their spurs with Peter Jackson on The Hobbit, are best known for their own true life coming-of-age debut film, called Scott and Sid, which won Best British Film at the 2019 National Film Awards UK.

"There are three parts to this whole project," explained Sid at the Project Yorkshire screening for round 200 people, representing high profile sponsors and supporters, including media partner The Yorkshire Post.

"We've got the film, the stock library, which will be available via our website at projectyorkshire.co.uk and the third part is a huge campaign over the next 12 months, to promote the project, the film and the wider economy, to get people to visit, live, invest and study here.

"We do this because we are proud of where we live. We want to thank everyone for backing our vision - now share it and pass on the baton."
