Nine out of ten students from Rotherham College are going on to further study or into jobs - bucking trends for rising youth employment.

Many students are going on work experience placements which are an increasingly important part of many courses.

Luke Cardwell who is studying a HND in creative media production has been with Rotherham United and the BBC. He has been learning the ropes of filming live football matches for broadcast on football highlight shows.

Meanwhile Sophie Hodgkinson took the experience she gained working in the college’s Inspire Hair and Beauty Salon and landed herself a job on a cruise ship. She is currently based on the Rhapsody of the Seas touring Australia, part of the Royal Caribbean line.
