Entries are beginning to arrive for this year’s Star Business Awards.

The awards are designed to recognise and celebrate the successes of the whole of the business community within the Sheffield City Region.

They will also highlight the hard work and achievement of companies that are thriving despite the downturn, while also showcasing the skills, innovation and reputation for quality of the local business community on a global stage.

A total of 14 awards are up for grabs, including awards for individual entrepreneurs, new businesses, innovation and international success.

The awards also span the full range of local business activities – from manufacturing to the digital and IT sectors – and reflect the contribution business makes to local life, in terms of regeneration, wealth creation, environmental improvement and employment.

Awards will be presented at a gala dinner at Sheffield City Hall in September, at which award-winning TV presenter, stand-up comedian and comedy writer Clive Anderson will be the guest of honour and principal speaker.

The Star Business Awards are open to any company with a principal trading address or registered office with one of the following postcodes: S1-S79, S82-S99, DN1-DN13, DN23-DN30, DN38-DN39, DN41-DN99, DE45.
