Two Chesterfield insurance and risk management companies have joined forces to create a business with gross written premiums totalling £12 million.

DCJ Group Insurance and Risk Management has acquired Easi Limited – comprising Evans and Salt Insurance Services and David Slater Insurance Services - with the help of accountants and business advisers Barber Harrison & Platt.

BHP Partner Dominic Staniforth acted for DCJ Group. Rod Shiers and Anna Cattee of BRM Solicitors provided legal advice for DCJ and Paul Simpson led the team from Sheffield commercial lawyers Hlw that advised Easi.

DCJ Group chief executive, David Jones, said: “We have been in active discussions regarding working with Easi for some time, and this was the perfect deal for both parties.

“Working with first class, experienced advisors has benefited both companies immensely – both Barber Harrison & Platt and BRM ensured that we reached the best arrangement possible through this acquisition.”
