Insolvency rate falls

The annual rate of business insolvencies has fallen for the first time in two years and Yorkshire has seen the biggest improvement, despite also having the highest rate of insolvencies throughout the year, according to global information services company Experian.

Max Firth, managing director of subsidiary Experian PH, said 2010 contrasted significantly with the last major recession in the early ’90s.
