A Sheffield University subsidiary has expanded to new premises after an almost tenfold increase in staffing.
The company, In-tend Ltd, was set up by procurement experts from the University seven years ago to develop ways of providing services ranging from tendering and reverse auctions to contract management electronically.
Since then the company’s turnover has increased to £1.5 million and the client list for its e-Procurement software has grown to include 300 public and private organisations in 84 countries, including the UK, in addition to 5,000 registered users managing £10 billion worth of contracts thanks to its services.
Meanwhile, the number of people In-tend employs has grown from four to 35 – and recruitment is continuing, with In-tend currently looking for a business development manager.
Now, the company has moved from its original Rotherham home in Moorgate Crofts Business Centre to Phoenix Riverside at Templeborough.
The move has enabled In-tend to move into new markets, setting up a starter hub in Poland to cover Eastern Europe before looking to expand into the Far East, whilst still maintaining a firm foothold in the UK market.
