The business, located on Burncross Road, opposite Chapeltown railway station, has a £5,500 weekly turnover from Subway and takes around £6,000 plus VAT in sales from the convenience store, according to the sales brochure, plus there is a Post Office salary of £60,000 a year.

“High footfall from the surrounding housing, school and railway station benefits the business, as does the free customer parking to the rear of the property,” the sales brochure states.

The seller has owned and run it for two years, he and his family work there and employ 10 part-time staff, and there are 11 years remaining on the lease, with an annual rent of £25,000.

Also up for grabs is the Colley Road Post Office in East Ecclesfield, which has a considerably lower price tag of £49,950

The sales brochure for that business says the owners have been there since 2002 and are selling to ‘enjoy a ‘well-deserved retirement’.

It is described as a ‘very busy’ Post Office, with an annual ‘Post Office Remuneration’ of £44,000 and a £400 weekly turnover.
