A leading Sheffield health insurer is set to ‘play an integral part’ in regenerating the city centre after unveiling plans to move to a new city centre headquarters.

Westfield Health, a not-fo-profit company established in 1919, has bought Milton House on Charter Row and plans to overhaul the building.

The main entrance will be reconfigured, a reception created and an outdoor roof terrace added by summer 2016, provided Sheffield Council approves the plans.

The company will move from its current home on Division Street.

Julie Gill, executive director of operations at Westfield Health, said: “Our move to Milton House reinforces our commitment to Sheffield, keeping our headquarters accessible for our customers and playing an integral part in the regeneration of the city centre.”

Richard Wright, executive director of Sheffield Chamber, said: “Health care is an important issue now, and will be in the future, and Sheffield is at the vanguard of developing new techniques for coping with an ever increasing demand. Westfield are big supporters of that.”
