A SHEFFIELD self-builder will be one of the guests at the 2012 National Self Build and Renovation Show.

Architect David Cross, the managing director of award winning Sheffield architectural design consultancy Coda Studios, is a leading expert in self-build homes.

He will be presenting two sessions on self-building at the show on April 14 and 15.

Around the same time the BBC will re-show in a primetime slot episodes of daytime self-build show To Build or Not to Build, featuring three properties David and the Coda team worked on.

The National Self Build and Renovation Show features more than 200 exhibitors, three full scale houses and talks from a range of industry experts.

The event runs for two days at the National Self Build and Renovation Centre in Swindon.

“I will be talking about the pros and cons of self build,” said David, who currently lives with his family in their second self-build home near Ranmoor, Sheffield.

“Building your own home is enormously satisfying, a unique chance to create something that is tailored exactly to your family’s needs.”
