A GLOBETROTTING management and leadership consultant who advises the chair of leadership at the UN, has brought his business to Barnsley.
Ian Thompson has travelled the world advising governments, global companies, human rights organisations and the United Nations.
Corporate clients of his company, Procentus, have included Microsoft, Samsung, JCB and Nokia. During the past year, the company has also been working with the Ethopian civil service and a leading academy in Dubai.
“I’ve spent a long time travelling and want to increase my work in the UK and particularly in Yorkshire,” said Mr Thompson, who recently relocated from Sussex to Penistone and is now based at Barnsley Digital Media Centre.
“Travelling in the Far East, Middle East, India, Africa and Europe has been fascinating and I’ve tremendously enjoyed working in diverse cultural settings. But I really feel it’s time to spend a bit more time in the UK with my family and share some of my skills with local businesses.”
Mr Thompson is running a one-day leadership course at Barnsley Digital Media Centre on Tuesday
The hands-on course examines approaches to leadership, ethics and communication techniques and is aimed at managers at any level within an organisation. For more information, visit: procentusdmc.eventbrite.co.uk
