TWO more days of strike action will affect bus services in South Yorkshire this week - with further dates planned for the new year.
Members of the Unite trade union have still not reached an agreement over pay with bosses at Stagecoach depots covering Barnsley, Dearne Valley and Rotherham.
The latest walkouts are on Friday and Saturday and January 4 and 16.
But Stagecoach said it was drafting in more than 100 supervisors and managers to keep ‘the majority of daytime services running’, minimising disruption for passengers.
Stagecoach services in Sheffield, Chesterfield, south Rotherham and Doncaster are unaffected.
Stagecoach will run a near-normal level of service between 7am and 6pm on the forthcoming days of the planned action involving drivers on December 16 and 17.
School services will operate as normal on Friday, December 16.
