TWO other South Yorkshire firms are also set to benefit with funding from the Regional Growth Fund.
Koyo Bearings Europe Ltd has received a £1.8 million grant.
The company, based on Elmhirst Lane, Doworth, Barnsley, has received the money for ‘expansion and improvement of manufacturing facilities serving bearings markets’.
Meanwhile construction firm cementation Skanska Limited, at Bentley Works, Doncaster, has received £1.3 million.
The money will be spent to help turn the site into Skanska ‘UK’s northern business hub’.
The Regional Growth Fund has allocated money to 130 projects around the country.
The total value of the latest round of grants is around £1 billion nationwide.
The Government says the funding could ‘unlock’ a further £6 billion of private sector investment and help to create thousands of new jobs.
