Business people from Chile, Columbia, Mexico, the Philippines, Romania, Slovakia and Singapore will be in Sheffield as part of a drive to boost exports.
The visitors are said to be very keen to make contact with City Region businesses “of all sizes and from all sectors”.
It comes after a fall in regional exports in quarter two, according to figures released earlier this week.
The Meet and Build event is organised by South Yorkshire International Trade Centre as part of the Overseas Business Network,
Nick Patrick, of SYITC said: “We have agreements with 41 representative organisations around the world and it is our intention to get as many of those as possible to visit Sheffield to speak with businesses in the region.
“The events are designed to introduce personal contacts in target markets to help guide businesses through the export process. The international visitors will be in Sheffield to provide market information, help find agents, distributors or direct links to potential customers.
“Our inaugural event was a great success and this is the second of many we hope to run in the future to boost exports from the region.”
The first meeting in June was attended by more than 50 people, he added.
Richard Wright, executive director of Sheffield Chamber, added: “These people could be fantastic international contacts for businesses in the region as they grow exports.
“It is our aim to grow this service as we target much higher exports.”
The event is at 11.30am on Friday July 18 at the Sheffield Chamber office on Savile Street.
