A business festival is under way to celebrate the launch of a new support service for Sheffield companies organised by the city council.
MADE - The Entrepreneur Festival is featuring world-class speakers, up to 70 exhibitors, 3,000 businesses and several thousand delegates.
The new Business Sheffield service aims to offer for the first time a single place where companies can get the advice they need to flourish.
Coun Leigh Bramall, Cabinet member for business, skills and development, said: “Feedback from businesses suggested that the previous support landscape was confusing and difficult to navigate, with too many brands, too many agencies, too many entry points.
“In response to this, we have simplified the support we offer, brought it under a rebranded banner of Business Sheffield and have established the Business Gateway service through which to channel all business enquiries in the city.”
All services have been brought under one roof and a new management team, with fewer sub-contracts.
