SHEFFIELD United fans planning to travel to Wembley by train are urged to buy their tickets quickly.

Thousands of Blades are expected to head to London for the League One play-off final against Huddersfield Town on Saturday, May 26.

And tickets for train services between Sheffield and London on the day are now on sale.

East Midlands Trains runs two trains per hour between Sheffield and London for most of the day as part of its Saturday service and is also working with Sheffield United to put on an extra charter train for the match.

The train, which will provide about 450 extra seats, is expected to leave Sheffield at about 9am, returning from London St Pancras at about 8.45pm.

An East Midlands Trains spokesperson said: “We have developed a good relationship with Sheffield United and are pleased to be working with them to provide a charter train for Blades fans travelling down to Wembley on May 26 for the play-off final.

“Fans not travelling on the charter train will still be able to choose from a range of services between Sheffield and London.

“We would urge anybody planning to travel to book now at”
