Factory helps food charity

WORKERS at a Sheffield food factory have been helping to donate leftover meals to charity.

Volunteering efforts by employees at Kraft Foods, in Hillsborough, contributed to more than 48 tonnes of surplus products which were given to national hunger charity FareShare, set up to tackle the problem of wasted food.

Workers at the factory also took time out to help pack and sort donations at the charity’s depots, before loading deliveries into vans.
