A MAJOR house building scheme has been announced in a Doncaster village.
York-based David Wilson Homes has submitted a planning application to Doncaster Council for a new estate of more than 80 homes at Branton.
If approved, they will be built on a large site to the east of Doncaster Road behind a former petrol station and car sales pitch.
The builders have drawn up outline plans for 83 dwellings, access roads, parking, garages, fencing, open space areas and landscaping.
Work will also be needed for drainage and underground tanks to deal with excess water.
The old Concord Garage was demolished several years ago and the site has since become overgrown and taken over by nature.
