The UK’s largest valeting company has opened an office in Sheffield to serve Scotland and the North - and it is hiring account managers, telesales staff and valeters.
Motorclean, based in Essex, has a team of 2,800 valeters who clean more than 3m cars at 700 dealerships a year.
Now the £40m turnover company wants to repeat that success in the North and has opened only its second office - in Carbrook.
Motorclean CEO Steve McBrierty said: “We chose Sheffield as a base because of the easy access it offers to the North and Scotland.
“Those are two of the areas in which we are expanding most rapidly.
“Sheffield also promises much in terms of talent.
“The recruitment of enough capable managers in particular will ensure that our reputation for customer service, which has made us the top choice, can be maintained.”
The firm was founded in 1976 but turnover has almost doubled to £41m in the last two years after it snapped up a ‘primary’ competitor and invested in technology, new services and training.
The firm was hailed National Champion in the European Business Awards 2015.
In Sheffield, it is seeking account managers responsible for liaising with customers communication and overseeing valeter shift patterns.
Recruits will be eligible for Motorclean’s advanced management course, which Mr McBrierty said was a career pathway into the company’s senior ranks
Telesales executives are office-based and responsible for finding customers and managing the customer database.
Valeters must show attention to detail and be fit, full training is given, Mr McBrierty added.
