All ticket holders will have the chance to make the final through crowdfunding. The five entrepreneurs that make the most money will go on to the final and will get expert coaching to prepare for their live pitch.

Sheffield businesses can get a discount ticket code by contacting Sheffield Council on 0800 043552.

The council's deputy leader Leigh Bramall said: “The opportunity to win a six-figure investment here in Sheffield is a fantastic incentive for local entrepreneurs and businesses wanting to connect with the city’s award winning business conference; Made 2016.

“The event really does showcase Sheffield as a city that celebrates and supports entrepreneurs and business start-ups whilst connecting them to the much needed finance that early-stage businesses seek.”

The two-day festival begins on November 7. Industry experts from around the globe will speak on subjects such as finance, technology, creative thinking, leadership and market development.

Speakers will include Ian Livingstone, who was ranked 16th most influential person in the UK's digital economy by Wired in 2012, and Emma Jones, founder of Enterprise Nation.
