Enterprise awards night

SIX teams of potential entrepreneurs are in the running for a £5,000 cash prize tonight, as part of a competition to help students and recent graduates from Sheffield Hallam University to launch successful businesses.

The six have been chosen from nearly 150 entries to the annual business start-up competition, organised by Sheffield Hallam University's Enterprise Centre, which also gives entrants the chance to work with a mentor from a successful local company.

Finalists include packaging design graduate Glenda Kirby, furniture and product design graduate Jamie Chaplin-Brice, design student Angela Diskin, Leigh Davidson, Xi and Christopher Huang-Leaver and hospitality graduate Amy Wilkinson. The winners will be announced at the Enterprise Dinner, held at the University tonight.
