A family-owned South Yorkshire dental surgery has been taken over by Laura Wright and Luke Rittuci in a deal supported by funding from The Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS).
Local dental therapist Laura Wright and her partner dentist Luke Ritucci, have officially taken over the management of The Southfield Dental Practice from Laura’s father, dentist David Wright.
Located at Southfield Road in Thorne, the practice is a predominantly NHS surgery which offers a range of routine dentistry services as well as teeth whitening.
RBS has supported the costs of the deal with an undisclosed loan.
Laura said: “Luke and I are really pleased that we have been able to take over our family business.
“I have worked in the practice for my father for six years and Luke has worked here since 2012, so we both know the operation inside out and have a great relationship with our customers.
“The support we have received from our patients and other stakeholders during the takeover process has also been fantastic.”
She also praised her bank and added: “RBS has been brilliant.
“Their funding, along with their expertise in the industry, has made this a very smooth process.”
Neil Brownrigg, healthcare manager at RBS, added: “I am really pleased that we have been able to help Laura and Luke achieve their ambitions of running the family business.
“They are both well-known and respected within the industry and local community, and we wish them the best of luck with the future of the practice.”
