Delayed revamp of Psalter Tavern in Sheffield set for autumn completion

The redevelopment of a Sheffield bar and hotel is in the “home straight” after months of delays.

The Psalter is set to open in autumn creating 15 jobs, the owners say.

All 23 bedrooms are complete and work is now focusing on the ground floor, which will house a craft ale and ‘fizz bar’, coffee shop and events space.

An application for a drinks licence has been submitted to Sheffield City Council by JGAC Ltd.

The former Psalter Tavern was closed for almost two years before Anthony Chan and partners took it on. The plan was to have it partially open early this year.
