Deadline for prestigious Made in Sheffield Awards extended as organisers work to celebrate local businesses
The application deadline for a local business award has been extended to allow more entrepreneurs to take part.
While the deadline for entry for the prestigious Made in Sheffield Awards was originally February 19, organisers have now announced that they will be extending their submission process until Thursday, March 5.
Taking place every other year, and organised by Insider Media, the event pulls together companies from across the county in a night that looks at the incredible work done to make local products that are sold across the globe.

There are seven awards for companies to enter, including the brand-new Manufacturing Startup Award, which is aimed at newly established businesses that show a promising future - demonstrating evidence of strong growth, agility and regional impact.
Other awards include Manufacturing Innovation, Export, Apprentice of the Year, Sustainable/Ethical Manufacturer of the Year, Manufacturer of the Year (under £25m), and the main event - the Made in Sheffield Award.
The last event took place in 2024, with prizes awarded to companies like Andel, LabLogic, SBD Apparel, ICD Europe and Equi-Trek.
This year’s black-tie event will take place at The Cutlers’ Hall on Thursday, May 7.
