Customers devastated after popular Sheffield cereal cafe shuts down one week before Christmas

A cereal cafe in the centre of Sheffield has closed its doors without warning, leaving regulars concerned for its future.

Coco Cereal Cafe, on Charles Street near the Moor, opened in March this year.

But earlier this month customers noticed that the cafe was shut during its usual hours and posted to the businesses’ Facebook page to ask what was going on.

One fan of the cafe posted: “Have you shut down? We're regulars and brought my 3 year old for a day off treat and it's closed. PLEASE tell me it's temporary, we were looking forward to trying out your new menu.”

The shop has since been gutted, and a spokesperson for Coco Cereal Cafe confirmed that the cafe has permanently closed.

When it opened Coco Cereal Cafe described itself as : “Inspired by the unique and crazy cereal from around the world. We created Sheffield's Only Cereal cafe, a quirky take on your average dessert bar.”
