Creative companies can find out how to secure Arts Council loans of up to £25,000 or ‘crowdfunding’ to help their businesses.
A free event is taking place in Barnsley on Wednesday, between 5.30pm and 9pm, at the Digital Media Centre, County Way, Barnsley.
The Creative Cash seminar is being organised by Enterprising Barnsley.
It will provide a practical guide to sources of finance such as government-backed loans and crowdfunding, which is where a large number of investors commit a small amount of capital to collectively support a business venture.
Crowdfunding has become increasingly popular since entrepreneurs have been able to use social media to attract growing numbers of small investors.
Tracey Johnson, of Enterprising Barnsley, said: “Our aim is to help people in Barnsley’s creative industries to explore some of the different ways to finance their businesses, within the reality of today’s economic climate.”
