COOKS resolving to up their kitchen skills in the New Year can learn at the hands of the experts.
Award-winning Kelham Island gastro pub The Milestone, once voted Best of British by celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay, is kicking off another series of its hugely popular cookery classes this Saturday.
The £50 half-day session will reveal the secrets of bacon, sausage and black pudding- making. It’s already booked up, but is to be repeated the next weekend and in June.
Amateur cooks can also learn bread-making, gnocchi and pasta dishes, how to cook dishes from the Milestone’s own cookbook plus the secrets of preparing fish and meat.
Full-day courses cost £95 including lunch. All cookery lessons are for a maximum of eight and are staged at the Milestone team’s second venue, the Wig and Pen on Campo Lane. Call 0114 272 2150 to book.
