More than 200 chefs from all over the UK descended on Magna Science Adventure Centre in Rotherham for an awards ceremony.
The chefs from contract catering firm Elior watched 15 of their colleagues cook a meal in Magna’s industrial-sized catering kitchen on a giant screen. Elior’s chefs were joined by Magna’s head chef Paul Childs and sous chef Murray Twigg for the showcase cooking session, before awards were given out to staff.
Elior provides catering across the country at universities, care homes, museums, football stadiums and military establishments.
Amelia Miles, sales event executive at Magna, said: “Events like this show what a versatile venue we are. We have a kitchen that can cater for up to 750 people and space for big and small gatherings.”
