Government rules state hospitality venues like restaurants must close, but can still provide takeaway and delivery services.

Here’s what the UK’s biggest high street fast food chains are doing between November 5 and Wednesday, 2 December.

McDonald’s

From 00:01am on Thursday McDonald’s will close its dining areas across England but, in line with government guidance, will remain open for takeaway, Drive-thru and McDelivery via Uber Eats and Just Eat.

Customers can also get 30 per cent off food until 15 November if they download and register on the My McDonald's app.

KFC

KFC has yet to confirm whether it will remain open during lockdown, but it has been offering delivery and drive-thru options in Wales since the two went into ‘circuit breaker’ lockdown

Greggs

A Greggs spokesperson said: "In accordance with the latest Government guidelines, Greggs shops across the UK will remain open for takeaway, click and collect and delivery."

Subway

Subway has yet to confirm if it will continue to operate during lockdown.

Burger King

Burger King is set to close – and even encouraged customers to get their fast food fix at one of their competitors’ restaurants.

Taco Bell

Taco Bell has yet to confirm if its restaurants in Sheffield will be staying open.

Caffe Nero and Costa have both confirmed its stores will be remaining open for click & collect, takeaway and Uber Eats delivery.
