Popular coffee shop chain Pret A Manger has announced it has closed in Sheffield city centre – with the loss of 15 jobs

12 Sheffield shops, restaurants, cafés and pubs that will never reopen after lockdown

Non-essential shops were allowed to reopen from June 15 and pubs followed suit at the weekend, but some well-loved Sheffield stores won’t be welcoming customers back as they remain shut.

Frankie and Benny's The owner of the Italian-New York fusion restaurant, which has three restaurants in the city, announced they are set to permanently close between 100 to 120 restaurants in The Restaurant Group. While the list of locations set to be axed has not yet been confirmed, the majority of these closures will affect Frankie and Benny’s sites, alongside the group's smaller sister brands such as Garfunkel’s.
