Sheffield’s Air Haus breaks silence over sudden closure - saying "we are absolutely gutted"
The company claims it was denied access to its Vulcan Road premises after “negotiations” with its landlord over a new lease “could not progress”
Sheffield’s Air Haus inflatable park has broken its silence after its gates were locked - saying “all bookings will be refunded”.
Some shocked families with kid’s parties booked say they are currently “in limbo” - having heard nothing from the firm despite phone calls, emails and Facebook messages to try to get in touch.

Two Sheffield families have reported being £500 out of pocket after booking an exclusive birthday party for 50 kids at the suddenly closed venue.
However Air Haus Meadowhall Ltd has said in a statement today (Thursday) that the closure was a “total shock” to its directors and that “every booking” will be refunded.
The company claims it was denied access to its Vulcan Road premises after “negotiations” with its landlord over a new lease “could not progress”.
A spokesperson said: “The week before, the team had started renovations to freshen up the park ready for the busy winter period.
"We are absolutely gutted. This is not how we wanted any of this to happen, and we are sorry to every family who has been left out of pocket or disappointed, including those who have spoken to the Sheffield Star.

“All bookings will be refunded. We are working through every email and message in order, and we are also managing cash flow, as an unexpected closure has hit the business hard.
“We know customers are angry, and we understand that. We will make sure everyone is replied to and refunded."
Customers with a booking are asked to contact [email protected], and “the team will reply as soon as possible”.
Speaking about notices displayed on the venue’s locked gates, the firm added: “Air Haus also wishes to clarify that Air Haus Meadowhall Limited has not entered liquidation.
“The notice displayed on the gates relates to a previous company that formerly held the lease with the landlord.”
