"Today I’ve received my results for Covid-19 and they have come back positive.

“I wasn’t in work Tuesday or Wednesday so I’ve been in touch with everyone on Track and Trace who signed in Thursday.

“Hopefully you will all be safe.”

The member of staff added that the Golden Plover, which is based on Spa View Road, had been cleaned and sterilised and would be ‘open as usual’.

People have wished the worker a speedy recovery from the virus.

The Star has asked the Golden Plover if it wants to comment further and is awaiting a response.
