Sheffield property firm more than doubles workforce in pandemic

A Sheffield property-tech company has hired 13 in the last year, more than doubling its workforce.

Vouch, based in Broomhall, employs 24, up from 11 in March 2019. It makes an app that carries out legal and financial checks for new tenants.

It also pays agents and landlords commission if they help a tenant get moved by helping to set up council tax and utilities.

It was launched after the government banned letting management fees. The firm was established by Sheffield Hallam graduate Simon Tillyer three years ago.
