The first winner was DE45 1DL, covering Bagshaw Hill in Bakewell, Derbyshire, which landed a £1,000 prize on Sunday, August 23.

One more winner followed on Monday, August 24 .

S63 0HU, covering Brunswick Street in Thurnscoe, Rotherham, scooped a massive £1,000.

Two days later, Wednesday, August 26, saw another £1000 winner when DN8 5EN, covering Thorne in Doncaster, was selected.

That means that two South Yorkshire postcodes have won £1000 in the past week - S63 0HU and DN8 5EN.

One lucky Derbyshire postcode was also selected for a £1000 prize - DE45 1DL.

The run of winners comes after a number of South Yorkshire addresses also enjoyed success in July.

The Postcode Lottery is a subscription-based lottery which raises money for charities. Players use their postcode as their ticket and are automatically entered into prize draws.

A monthly subscription costs £12.50, with prizes including daily £1,000 awards, weekly Millionaire Street prizes and larger monthly prizes.

The lottery says players have raised more than £1.8 billion for thousands of good causes in Britain and internationally.

Charities to have benefited include Maggie's, the Alzheimer's Society, Dogs Trust, Mind and the NSPCC, as well as thousands of smaller community projects.
