Rochelle Dee Hempsey, 38, has taken it on herself to help her community in the Mosborough area.

She came up with the idea after seeing a similar scheme on social media. At the moment Rochelle is working on her own but hopes more people will come on board.

She said: "There are a lot of elderly and vulnerable people in Mosborough.

“Everyone has a different take on things at the moment but I believe there will be need in the future for more volunteers. Some people are taking it more seriously than others.”

Rachel has placed 'isolation buddy' cards in local shops so anybody who feels they need some extra help can contact her directly.

The mother of two will collect shopping lists then buy goods and deliver them. But if it's not shopping they require, Rochelle is there to be a voice on the end of the line.

She is not receiving any funding for her efforts with all extra costs coming out of her own pocket.
