All the bars and pubs on this list have been given a five-star food hygiene rating, the maximum rating the Food Standards Agency can award businesses.
Many pubs are introducing a booking system, where punters have to apply for a specific time slot rather than just turning up and customers are encouraged to check availability before arrival.
