PICTURES: Hundreds of shoppers wait in huge Primark queues as Sheffield reopens
Sheffield’s own pedestrianised thoroughfare The Moor is once again abuzz with shoppers as non-essential shops and retailers are back in business after months of closure due to lockdown restrictions.
Now that the country has reached Step 2 of the Government’s roadmap to normality beginning today (April 12), high street brands are taking advantage by extending their opening hours and some offering discounts as a way to welcome back members of the public in their premises.
Long queues had also formed outside popular retail stores like Primark and Debenhams even before the doors were open to customers.
Here are some of the pictures captured by The Star photographer Chris Etchells today.
