Fat Hippo announced last year that it wanted to open in the former Creams venue, on Division Street, and now work has started towards its opening.

Now, with workmen currently in the building fitting it up as the restaurant, the company has also revealed that its plans will also include space for a pavement cafe section outside as well.

A copy of an application to Sheffield Council for permission to put three tables and six chairs on the road is posted on the building.

This would be during opening hours, which would be Mondays to Sundays from 11am until 10pm.

The venue is due to open on Friday, November 6.
