Meadowhall PACKED as shoppers ‘queued for two hours’ for 24-hour Primark store
Shoppers making the most of extended opening hours reportedly queued for up to two hours to get into Primark at Meadowhall on Wednesday.
According to several posts on Twitter, queues extended from the store’s entrance to Argos, which is located on the Lower High Street in the centre and bargain-hunters were reportedly told they would have to queue for up to two hours.
One person tweeted: “So people have gone to Primark Meadowhall to try and enjoy some quiet late-night shopping and it's turned out to be busier than it was this morning.
"Queue snaking all the way to Argos.”
Another person posted: “Just a heads up for anyone hearing to #Meadowhall for #Primark. I'm currently in a queue and the marshalls are saying it's a TWO HOUR WAIT to get in.”
The Meadowhall store is open for a full 40 hours with the aim of giving customers more time to safely do their festive shopping.
