McDonald’s reopens 168 UK restaurants with Sheffield ignored – find your closest one

There will be limited opening hours at the branches – 11am to 10pm – as well as a maximum spend of £25 to allow the restaurants to operate with reduced staff and social distancing in the kitchens.

A new limited menu has been released – which includes regular favourites such as Big Macs and Chicken McNuggets – and a smaller number of drinks, sides, desserts and Happy Meals to choose from.

McDonald’s said every drive-thru in the UK and Ireland will be reopened between Tuesday and Thursday of this week.

A post by an anonymous source on social media claims that the Golden Arches in Handsworth will open doors to customers on Thursday, which could extend to other branches across Sheffield.

McDonald’s hasn’t confirmed this, however.

It said it will reveal the locations of reopening restaurants on the morning they open their doors to help manage demand and it is working with local authorities and the police over openings.
