Manufacturing: McLaren launches £2m supercar with parts made in South Yorkshire
McLaren is launching a £2m supercar with carbon fibre parts made at its factory in South Yorkshire.
The W1 will do 0-60mph in 2.7 secs and a limited top speed of 217mph, the firm says.
Just 399 will be produced and they have all been reserved.

A spokesman said some carbon fibre parts will be made at its factory in Rotherham, the McLaren Composites Technology Centre.
The £50m facility on the Advanced Manufacturing Park near Sheffield opened in November 2018. It was its first factory outside its Woking headquarters.
The MCTC makes carbon fibre ‘tubs’, which underpin its hybrid supercar the Artura.
