Man charged with assault

A man has been charged with assault by beating following an incident in Sheffield city centre.

Ratislav Dirda, aged 18, of Severnside Place, Woodhouse, appeared before Sheffield Magistrates Court on June 1 and has been bailed until his next court appearance.

The charge relates to an assault on Eyre Street on 30 May.

The incident allegedly occurred inside the ALS Gongcha bubble tea cafe at 10 Eyre Street, close to Furnival Square.

The firm is owned by Taiwan Alishan Tea Drink Development Co Ltd.
