The former mesters’ workshops at the beautiful Leah’s Yard, off Cambridge Street, have been given a spectacular new lease of life as a charming retail hub.
From flowers and fashion to the best Sheffield beers, meats, sauces and other produce, there’s plenty to see and buy there.
There’s also a lovely little deli, a chocolate cafe serving up delicious treats and a trendy barbershop overlooking the cobbled courtyard.
It’s a refreshing alternative to Meadowhall for those who like to shop local and on a smaller scale, with the chance to chat to the friendly, knowledgeable traders about their products, some of which are handmade by them.
Below is a list of all the traders, cafes and services available at Leah’s Yard so far.
We have not included the numerous businesses, charities and other organisations which are based there but whose offices are not open to the general public.

9. Hop Hideout
Hop Hideout is a beer shop and tasting room which was founded in 2013 by Jules Gray and showcases the best brews from around Sheffield and beyond. It teamed up with Thornbridge Brewery and the artist Pete McKee, one of its new neighbours at Leah's Yard, to produce its popular new house beer, a gluten-free Helles lager called Reasons to be Cheerful. As well as a wide range of beers on tap, in bottles or in cans, it sells wine by the glass, cider and kombucha. Jules told how she has also 'upped the snacks game', with the unusual savoury treats on offer including pan fried egg slabs and haggis-flavoured crisps. Hop Hideout is open from 12pm-6pm on Wednesdays and Thursdays, 12pm-8pm on Fridays and Saturdays, and 12pm-5pm on Sundays. It also hosts ticketed tasting evenings and is available to hire for birthdays and other celebrations. | National World Photo: National World

10. Dream Life Deli
Dream Life Deli serves a huge range of freshly made salads, bursting with global flavours from Greece to Mexico and Indonesia. You can also buy savoury treats like stuffed peppers and artichokes, along with a small selection of sweets, including carrot cake, cheesecake and jellies. We were impressed with the chef salad, priced £6.99 for a large portion or £4.99 for a small one, which was packed with cucumber, tomato, lettuce, onion, egg, feta cheese, diced sausage, drenched with a zesty dressing, topped with a sprinkling of dried herbs and accompanied by a small pot of mustard mayonnaise. | National World Photo: National World

11. Sheffield Dragon
Sheffield Dragon is a fiery recent addition to Sheffield's food scene. Andrew Armstrong founded the chilli sauce business during lockdown and his spicy creations have been hugely successful. As well as the hot sauces for which it is best known, Sheffield Dragon sells a range of other products including chilli pickles and a BBQ rub. Everything is vegan and gluten-free, made from chillies grown by Andrew in his greenhouse and polytunnel. The fiery sauces will liven up any meal, and they make a great gift for chilli lovers. | Sheffield Dragon Photo: Sheffield Dragon

12. Chocolate Bar cafe
Sheffield's new Chocolate Bar cafe at Leah's Yard is a delicious shrine to the mighty cocoa bean. You can buy all manner of tasty chocolate treats there, including cookies, brownies and even cocoa-infused cocktails. But it's probably most famous for its hot chocolate, which in a blind taste test was named as one of the UK's best. Chocolate Bar is the latest venture from Max Scotford, pictured, founder of the acclaimed Sheffield-based bean to bar craft chocolate firm Bullion. | National World Photo: National World
